Terms of Service

By accessing or using any service offered through House of Mahakali — including but not limited to scheduling consultations, purchasing readings or ritual work, participating in energetic clearing sessions, or engaging with any content on this platform — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in their entirety.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and House of Mahakali. Your continued use of our services following any posted changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

These Terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use the services, regardless of the medium through which services are delivered (in person, remotely, electronically, or via written correspondence).

House of Mahakali provides spiritual services rooted in traditions including Obeah, Hoodoo/Rootwork, Orisha Baptist, Kabbalistic practice, and Caribbean and African spiritual traditions. All services — including readings, ritual work, spiritual counseling, and energetic clearing — are spiritual and ceremonial in nature only.

No guaranteed outcomes. Spiritual work operates in realms that cannot be quantified, measured, or guaranteed. House of Mahakali makes no representations, warranties, or promises regarding specific results, timelines, or outcomes of any service rendered.

Age Requirement. All services are available to adults aged 18 years or older only. By engaging our services you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health crisis, please contact appropriate emergency services or a licensed mental health professional. House of Mahakali is not equipped or authorized to provide crisis intervention.

House of Mahakali accepts multiple forms of payment and exchange for services rendered. By submitting any form of payment or exchange, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the No Refund Policy set forth in Section 4.

Cash & Card Payments

Standard monetary payments are processed securely via Stripe. Applicable rates, fees, and service charges will be clearly presented prior to completing any transaction.

KarmaKoin System

House of Mahakali operates a KarmaKoin (KK) loyalty and exchange system. KarmaKoins may be earned through qualifying activity on the platform and redeemed toward eligible services at rates determined by House of Mahakali. KarmaKoin-specific terms are detailed in Section 6.

Alternative Exchange

House of Mahakali may, at practitioner discretion, accept alternative forms of exchange including gift cards, original artwork, physical items of demonstrable value, and other barter arrangements as agreed in advance.

All alternative exchange transactions are logged to an internal ledger maintained by House of Mahakali for record-keeping purposes. Submission of an alternative exchange item constitutes your representation that you are the lawful owner of the item.

Due to the personal, experiential, and non-transferable nature of spiritual services, all sales are final. Once a service has been scheduled or delivered — regardless of the payment method used — no refund will be issued under any circumstances.

This applies to: Cash and card payments; KarmaKoin redemptions; and Alternative exchange arrangements.

In the rare event of a practitioner-side cancellation or scheduling failure, the client will be offered a full service credit or priority rescheduling at no additional cost. No fees will be forfeited due to practitioner-side cancellations.

By using our services, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any booking or reading request
• Use the services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to manipulate, deceive, or exploit the KarmaKoin system or the public ledger
• Harass, intimidate, or make threats toward the practitioner or any other party
• Request services intended to harm third parties
• Share, reproduce, or commercialize any session content, readings, or written materials without explicit written consent

House of Mahakali reserves the right to refuse service to any individual, at any time, for any reason, without obligation to disclose the reason.

KarmaKoins (KK) are a non-monetary platform currency created and managed solely by House of Mahakali. They have no cash value, cannot be converted to currency, and are non-transferable except through mechanisms explicitly provided by the platform.

KarmaKoins may be:

• Earned through testimonials, referrals, community contribution, and other qualifying actions as determined by House of Mahakali
• Purchased directly in fixed bundles via the platform checkout
• Gifted to other users through the platform's gifting mechanism
• Donated to the Community Pool for redistribution to those who cannot afford services

KarmaKoin transactions are recorded on a public ledger that is visible to all users. By participating in any KarmaKoin transaction, you consent to the public visibility of that transaction data (without personal identifying information) as described in our Privacy Policy.

House of Mahakali reserves the right to modify KarmaKoin values, earning rates, redemption rates, and program terms at any time.

All content produced during or as part of a service engagement — including written readings, recorded consultations, ritual instructions, energetic assessments, and any other deliverables — is the intellectual property of House of Mahakali unless explicitly transferred in writing.

Clients are granted a personal, non-commercial license to use and retain content received as part of their own service. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or commercialize any such content without prior written consent from House of Mahakali.

All website content, branding, visual identity, copy, and system design (including the KarmaKoin economy and public ledger architecture) are proprietary to House of Mahakali and its technology partners. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, House of Mahakali shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services — including but not limited to decisions made in reliance on any reading, ritual, or spiritual consultation.

In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Your use of House of Mahakali's services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use tracking pixels or behavioral advertising technology. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe — we never receive or store your card numbers.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts applicable to House of Mahakali's place of business.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

House of Mahakali reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you disagree with any changes, you should discontinue use of our services.
